Overview

Our GitLab test case management integration helps improve team collaboration and streamline testing and bug-tracking workflows. Developers and testers have a full view of the testing process and can re-test resolved bugs with ease.

How it works

Connect GitLab with TestLodge by authenticating and then selecting the GitLab project to connect. When a test is marked as "failed," TestLodge creates an issue in GitLab, including details from the test case so developers can easily reproduce and resolve the bug.

TestLodge can retrieve the GitLab issue status so testers know which bugs are ready to be re-tested, streamlining the workflow between testers and engineers.

Key features

  • Create a GitLab issue when a test fails.
  • Assign a user and set the milestone and label.
  • Associate a failed test with an existing issue.
  • Change the state (status) of a ticket when re-verifying a test.
  • Add a comment to an issue when the associated test is verified.
  • Update the status of any existing GitLab issue.
  • Pull back the issue status to re-run tests for all resolved bugs.

Setup instructions

  1. Go to the project list in TestLodge and select issue trackers from the side menu.
  2. Set up a new integration and select GitLab.
  3. Navigate to a TestLodge project's dashboard and edit the project.
  4. Select the GitLab project in which you want to create issues.

Now, you're ready to start running tests, and TestLodge will automatically create issues for any failed tests.
