Overview

Improve testing efficiency using TestLodge and Wrike. Automatically log defects in Wrike whenever a test fails so that engineers have a complete view of issues that need to be fixed. This integration also allows you to pull in the latest defect status from Wrike so you can re-test bugs that the engineering team has fixed.

How it works

When running a test in TestLodge and marking a test as "failed", a Wrike task is created that includes the steps to replicate the defect and other test case information. This gives engineers and developers a view of bugs that need fixing with all the information they need to troubleshoot and resolve those defects.

When testing is done, you can pull the latest status of Wrike tasks into TestLodge, and re-run failed tests to verify bugs have been resolved.

Key features

  • Create a task in Wrike when marking a test "failed".
  • Tasks in Wrike are populated with test case details.
  • Assign a Wrike-user and set the importance of the Wrike task.
  • Retrieve the status of Wrike tasks and re-test resolved bugs.
  • Automatically add comments and change the status of an existing task when verifying any fixes.

Setup instructions

  1. Log in to TestLodge and navigate to the project list.
  2. Select issue tracker from the menu.
  3. Configure a new integration and select Wrike to authenticate.
  4. Once authenticated, navigate to the TestLodge project dashboard and edit a project you want to connect Wrike to.

Now, you can start running tests and sending bugs to Wrike.

Frequently asked questions

Common questions around setting up the Wrike and TestLodge integration.

Does your integration work with all Wrike payment plans?
Yes, our integration will work with all Wrike accounts to create and update tickets. However, only accounts on a Wrike business plan and higher will be able to fetch and update the ticket status; this is due to the way that Wrike tiers the functionality on each plan.
Is this integration bi-directional?
Yes, you can send and retrieve information from and to Wrike.
Can you link existing Wrike tasks to a failed test?
No, not at this time. This is due to the way Wrike works.
What is Wrike used for?
Wrike is a project management tool for helping teams organize tasks, milestones, and priorities.
